The number of small companies producing technology in Izmir is increasing day by day. One of these companies is MET Advanced Technology Systems, which is located in Izmir Technopark within Izmir Institute of Technology. The company, which entered the sector with small R&D activities, has now turned into an enterprise that produces technology solutions for important global players. As a result of the advanced technology projects it has carried out, the company has 11 patent applications, 1 utility model and 2 trademarks in the last two years, and also has 5 TÜBİTAK projects, 1 of which is ongoing, and 1 KOSGEB Industrial Application Project.
MET has achieved a great success by being accepted to the tender with technical and technological competence as the only company from Turkey for the system that will separate the plates of CMS, the largest particle accelerator of CERN, with Telescopic Synchronous Hydraulic Axes thanks to its domestic technology.
The company, which also develops projects for electrical axes that will drive the launchers of Rocket Launchers thanks to the technology in the Industrial Polyurethane fixture, which it has developed the control of with Siemens Simotion product, produces microwave systems for drying organic and inorganic products, sterilisation and pasteurisation alternative process development, regardless of scale. With these systems, MET solves the aflatoxin problem, which is the biggest export problem.
MET, realising a first in Turkey, performs operations such as polishing, weighing, grinding, deburring, hole finding, part placement, gear and pulley installation with force sensors used with robots. The company offers low-cost solutions to industrialists. The company, which serves the leading companies in the sector with the robot solutions it produces, is a candidate to become one of Turkey’s leading companies in the field of technology in the coming period.
